Madonna has been selected to perform for one of the year’s most watched shows, joining the ranks of Bruce Springsteen, The Black Eyed Peas, Prince, U2, The Who and The Rolling Stones in recent years. Madonna will perform on February 5 for Super Bowl XLVI at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. She will be joined by Cirque du Soleil performers.
Madonna is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee who has sold more than 300 million records. The Guinness Book of World Records ranks her as the top-selling female recording artist of all time. Last year’s Super Bowl halftime show drew 162 million U.S. viewers.
