After just 10 weeks of marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries and a lavish TV wedding, Kim Kardashian is filing for divorce. The reality TV starlet cited irreconcilable differences, saying, “”I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever but sometimes things don’t work out as planned.” Humphries was “devastated” at Kardashian’s decision to file for divorce and “is willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”
The couple married Aug. 20 in a spectacle event near Santa Barbara, Calif. The wedding registry totaled $172,000, and included items like a $1,650 coffee pot and $1,250 sterling silver vegetable spoons. The total for the entire wedding was rumored to be $10 million.
