Singers Katy Perry and John Mayer’s romance has run dry, according to People magazine. “They’ll end up as friends,” one source told the magazine. “They were honestly having fun. People made it out to be far more than it was.” However, another source told Us Weekly, “She is making it seem like it wasn’t serious with John, but she is hurt.”
People Magazine reported that Perry and Mayer had been dating for a couple of months, although gossip sites caught on to their relationship only a few weeks ago. Prior to her fling with Mayer, Perry dated Robert Ackroyd of the British rock band Florence + the Machine, and was married to Russell Brand. Mayer has been seen with beauties including Taylor Swift, Jennifer Anniston, and Jessica Simpson.
