“Homeland” actor James Rebhorn dies at 65
James Rebhorn has died at the age of 65 after battling skin cancer since 1992. Rebhorn, well known for his roles in “Homeland,” “Scent of a Woman,” and “My Cousin Vinny,” collected over 100 credits. On “Homeland,” he played Claire Dane’s CIA officer Carrie Mathison’s father and also worked with USA Networks with a recurring role on “White Collar.” He also had roles on “Law & Order,” “Meet the Parents,” and “The Game.” Rebhorn was born in Philadelphia and raised in Indiana. He received a masters in acting from Columbia University and also worked in theatre, starring on Broadway in revivals. Reborn died Friday at his home in South Orange, New Jersey and was survived by his wife, Rebecca Linn, and two daughters.
