One of the most colorful stars in pro wrestling history has died at the age of 54. The Ultimate Warrior, who legally changed his name from James Hellwig to his wrestling moniker, died Tuesday. According to police he collapsed while walking with his wife to their car at a hotel and was pronounced dead at the hospital. There are no signs of foul play and an autopsy will be conducted Thursday. During the 1980’s Ultimate Warrior was one of the largest pro wrestling stars, beating Hulk Hogan in a memorable match at WrestleMania in 1990. Earlier this week he made an appearance at the latest WrestleMania in New Orleans, was on “Monday Night Raw,” and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
