“The X Factor” judge Demi Lavoto has announced that she will be leaving the show.
Twenty-one-year-old Lavoto explained her reasoning as wanting to return to her “roots” and concentrate on her music career.
Fellow “X Factor” judge Simon Cowell, who also produces the show, has not commented on potential replacements.
Lavoto has been on the show’s panel for two seasons and plans to spend the next year working on a new album.
The winner of “The X Factor” season three will be announced on Thursday’s finale.
