Deen drops legal team
Paula Deen has dropped her legal team, the latest to occur after her admission of using racial slurs in the past.
Deen announced last week that she has cut ties with her longtime agent who made her a Food Network start as well as helped her to create a media and merchandising empire.
Grace Speights, an attorney for Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, has taken over as the new lead counsel for Paula Deen Enterprises Inc.
The lawsuit was filed by Lisa Jackson, the former manager of Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House, which Deen co-owns with her brother. Jackson claims she worked in an environment where she was sexually harassed and where racial slurs were present.
