Cory Monteith found dead

Cory Monteith, who played a football star turned singer in the hit TV series “Glee”, was found dead in a hotel room. Police say the actor has been battling an addiction since his teenage years. Monteith was 31-years-old.

An autopsy will be taking place on Monday to determine the cause of death, but police say there is no indication of foul play.

According to Police, Monteith, who played Finn Hudson on the Fox TV series about a high school glee club, was found dead Saturday afternoon in his hotel room on the 21st floor.

Monteith openly talked about his struggle with addiction since he was a teenager, saying he took “anything and everything”. He also said that he was “lucky to be alive”.

In April, the actor checked himself into a treatment facility for “substance addiction”. He asked for privacy as he took steps toward recovery. It was not his first time in rehab, as he had been going since he was 19.
