Coldplay’s Chris Martin to help on “The Voice”

Coldplay singer Chris Martin will be bringing his musical talents and abilities to “The Voice,” NBC’s music competition show. NBC claims Martin will participate in the battles round, advising singers on their vocal techniques and stage presence, beginning on March 31. Singers are competing for attention from their team coaches, who decide who advances in the show. “The Voice” has eclipsed Fox’s “American Idol” which has been the long-running most popular music show. The guest role is a good promotion for both Martin and Coldplay, which is releasing a new album in May.
