Cher plans Broadway musical about her life

Singer-actress Cher wrote a series of Tweets on Monday announcing that producers are writing a musical about her life. The Broadway show, which has yet to be titled, will capture Cher’s journey to stardom. Three actresses will play the 66-year-old “Goddess of Pop” during different stages of her life, from her time as a variety show host to her years as an Oscar-winning actress. The “I Got You Babe” songstress also Tweeted out that the finished product will include a catalog of her hit songs.

Risa Shapiro, a spokeswoman for Cher, said that no date has been set for the show, which still faces years of work. Cher Tweeted, “Its VERY SLOW PROCESS! been working on it quite a while now.”
