Charlie Sheen donates $1 million to help injured soldiers
Actor Charlie Sheen has pledged to donate at least $1 million to help those with traumatic brain injuries. The 46-year-old party boy turned philanthropist will be working with the United Service Organization, which aides injured soldiers. The “Anger Management” actor will also have the right to name the organization. The actor said he’d donate 1 percent of what he makes from his new show.
“It’s an honor for me to be able to give back to these men and women of the military who have done so much for all of us,” Sheen said in a statement. “They put their lives on the line for us every day, and I’m just happy that my work on “Anger Management” can bring a little bit of relief to the troops and their families.”
