Chad Johnson released from jail

Former NFL star Chad Johnson apologized on Monday for disrespecting a judge when he slapped his attorney on the rear in court last week.

Broward County Circuit Judge Kathleen McHugh accepted Johnson’s apology and reduced his jail sentence for a probation violation he had already served since the rear slapping.

The wide receiver, formerly known as Chad Ochocinco, said in court that he had time to think about how his actions were wrong, especially in a domestic violence case.

McHugh originally ordered Johnson to perform 25 hours of community service and attend domestic violence counseling for the altercations associated with wife Evelyn Lozada, which quickly lead to their divorce.

Adam Swickle, the attorney who had his backside slapped, stated that Johnson will comply with all probation conditions. Johnson also hopes to resurrect his NFL career.
