CBS stops replays of Ware’s injury

The chairman of CBS Sports has agreed to ban further replays of Kevin Ware’s gruesome leg injury. The network released two quick replays on Sunday, but then discontinued them. CBS claims that with the millions of ways to view videos online, there is no need for them to continue replaying the event. CBS also wishes to respect Ware while he recovers.

Although CBS has been applauded for their restraint, critics claim that CBS had a chance to document history, but did not do so.

Ware was injured while blocking a 3-point shot by his Duke opponent. Ware fell awkwardly onto his right leg, causing his tibia to snap and consequently, protrude from his lower leg.
