According to a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman, singer Bobby Brown was pulled over on Monday for talking on his cell phone while driving and also faces charges of drinking while under the influence. Brown, 43, illustrated signs of intoxication and failed a number of sobriety tests during the traffic stop around noon in the Reseda area of Los Angeles County, reported Officer Tiana Reed.
Brown’s arrest comes less than two months after the death of his ex-wife, singer Whitney Houston. After several hours in custody on Monday, Brown was released later in the day, according to the California Highway Patrol spokeswoman. Brown is scheduled to perform with his group New Edition in St. Louis, MO on Thursday.
