Customers can now buy original and limited edition pieces of art from more than 150 galleries and dealers via Amazon Art.
On Tuesday, the announcement was made after Seattle-based Amazon.com Inc. announced that its CEO, Jeff Bezos, had purchased The Washington Post.
Amazon Art now features 40,000 works from more than 4,500 artists. The wide array includes folk art, impressionism, and modern art.
The online market offers details and other information about the artist, work, provenance, and exhibition history.
