Amanda Bynes detained for mental health evaluation

On Tuesday, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office made a statement saying that law officers in California have detained Amanda Bynes for a mental health evaluation.

According to officials, Bynes was involved in a neighborhood disturbance in Thousand Oaks, a city about 40 miles west of Los Angeles.

The incident began when an emergency call was made to the fire department that a gas can was burning in a residential driveway at around 8:30 p.m.

This is the latest incident to occur for the actress who also faces three misdemeanor charges related to a bong tossed out of her Manhattan apartment. She also has a DUI case pending in Southern California.
