The Washington Nationals have resigned Kevin Frandsen. The deal includes a $1 million salary in 2015, with $300,000 in incentives for the 32-year-old who barely missed qualifying for free agent status this winter. Elsewhere, the Nationals released Matt Purke, 24. Purke has been injured for most of the season, and was let go because he would not be ready out of rehab in time for the next season. The changes leave one open spot on the Nationals’ 40-man roster.
