The National Archives is showcasing a new exhibit on alcohol’s role in American history. To celebrate the opening of “Spirited Republic: Alcohol in American History,” they will be throwing a massive shindig. For the first time, the National Archives will host an exclusive after-hours party. The event will take place on April 18, 2015.  The event is being produced by Brightest Young Things and will offer open bars with craft cocktails from lots of notable local names such as Jack Rose, the Partisan, PX and Bourbon Steak. Guests will also get late-night access to the exhibits, and get the opportunity to enjoy music and dancing. Tickets are $50 in advance, and $60 at the door. Partial proceeds will benefit the National Archives Foundation.
