As the year 2017 comes to a close, healthcare enrollment season has arrived. With the new Trump administration, there have been several changes involving Obamacare (The Affordable Care Act). With these changes come additional angst to Americans who rely so heavily on their health insurance and fought the Republicans in Congress in their attempt to repeal and replace the insurance. Through President Donald Trump’s disdain for Obamacare, he has used several avenues to try to dismantle and thwart the popularity of the insurance to no avail. With open enrollment going on currently, Trump has refused to encourage or fund ad campaigns announcing the enrollment season. He has also decreased the length of the open enrollment season.

Health insurance specialist Michael Yencarelli spoke with DC Spotlight Newspaper about the changes and how it will affect most Americans who rely on the insurance.
