Russia could launch its new lethal intermediate-range ballistic missile into Ukraine soon. This report came from the Pentagon on Wednesday as concerns grow over what leverage the U.S. will have in trying to quell this extreme level of violence. The nearly three-year war has been grueling for both nations. In a statement from the Pentagon, it was said that an attack like this from Russia could be carried out in the coming days.

Additionally, the Pentagon relayed that the U.S. does not consider this missile to be a game-changer but a symbol of intimidation. The Pentagon remarked that Russia is “trying to use every weapon they have in their arsenal to intimidate Ukraine.” U.S. intelligence is still unsure of where and when Russia may strike with its new missile.
