Winners announced for 2015 AMAs

The 2015 American Music Awards featured performances from artists such as Meghan Trainor, Ariana Grande, and Justin Bieber as well as a hit spoof by television show “The Muppets” of British singer Adele’s single “Hello.” Hosted by Jennifer Lopez, the 42nd annual AMAs also featured a performance from Celine Dion in honor of the recent attacks on Paris and Mali and the ongoing civil war in Syria. Big winners on Sunday included Nicki Minaj, who won Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album for “The Pinkprint” and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist, and Taylor Swift, who won Single of the Year for “Blank Space,” Favorite Pop/Rock Album for “1989” as well as Favorite Adult Contemporary.
