Virtual Reality Los Angeles expo showcases latest VR technology

The Virtual Reality Los Angeles expo took place in California on Saturday, showcasing the latest VR technologies for over 2,000 attendees. Some of the popular VR experiences had long lines and required wait times of over an hour. The most popular display at the expo was VRcade, a wireless multiplayer VR system not made for home use, which takes up a 30-by-30 foot space. A representative of VRcade said, “the biggest marketing challenge facing the whole virtual reality industry is that you can’t experience VR until you experience VR.” There were also several VR headsets at the expo. Sony, Oculus VR, and Valve plan to release commercial editions of their VR headsets in early 2016. This will enable more people to experience VR without traveling to special events.
