Pan, 2015’s remake of the Peter Pan story flopped over Columbus Day Weekend, bringing in $15.5 million, against the $150 million production cost. “It’s a huge misfire,” said Jeff Bock, box office analyst with Exhibitor Relations, adding, “We won’t see another Peter Pan film for awhile.” The film, starring Hugh Jackman, Rooney Mara and Garrett Hedlund, has been reviewed poorly and brings Pan in with The Fantastic Four and Tomorrowland for the year’s most disappointing movies.
