Iran condemns Washington Post journalist

State-run media in Iran reports that Washington Post correspondent Jason Rezaian has been found guilty of of espionage, and reportedly faces up to 20 years in prison. Rezaian was taken into custody in July of 2014 and has been behind bars for more than a year. “We are working with Jason’s family and Iranian counsel to pursue an immediate appeal, and we expect Jason’s lawyer, Leila Ahsan, also to petition for Jason to be released on bail pending a final resolution of the case,” the newspaper’s executive editor Marty Baron said.
