On Tuesday, a Chicago police officer was shot and killed in Lake County. Authorities state that the police are currently searching for three suspects. The deceased, a member of the Fox Lake Police force, had radioed before his death that he was pursuing the three suspects on foot. Canine units and agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have been dispatched to help with the case.
