Protests erupt outside Trump rally in New Mexico
Outside Donald Trump’s rally Tuesday night in New Mexico protesters lit fires, smashed a door and threw rocks. Police ushered protesters away from Trump’s event at Albuquerque’s convention center and into the nearby streets where the anti-Trump group chanted “F*** Donald Trump.” Protesters had also broken a glass door to the convention center and jumped on police vehicles. While the protests in New Mexico were similar to those in Chicago earlier this year in March, police in Albuquerque were able to keep protesters separated from Trump supporters. Trump had already left the event. Protesters disrupted the event inside sporadically as well, resulting in at least three being forcibly removed by police.

Trump, Clinton win Washington state primary
Hillary Clinton and presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump each won their respective primaries in Washington state Tuesday. Trump is now 28 delegates away from solidifying his claim to the Republican nomination for president. Clinton remains the front-runner in the Democratic race, although no delegates were at stake in the Democratic primary – Washington already awarded their delegates based on party caucuses. It was Clinton’s opponent, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who won Washington’s caucuses back in March, getting 74 delegates while Clinton got 27. Trump won at least 40 delegates on Tuesday, bringing him to a total of 1,209 delegates. The last four Republican delegates from Washington are yet to be allocated.
