Man who tried jumping White House fence arrested

According to the U.S. Secret Service, a man who tried to breach the White House fence was taken down and arrested before he made it to the executive mansion’s grounds. A Secret Service officer saw the suspect at 4:30 p.m. Monday cross a bike rack on the northeastern fence line. An agency spokesman said that the suspect was quickly handed to the police.

Two women found dead in Cheverly, MD

A shooting in an apartment complex in Cheverly, MD leaves two women dead. Police were called to the Cheverly Station Apartments at 10:30 p.m. Monday night. The victims have been identified as Tarekka Jones, 26, and Jalisa Walls-Harris, 22. “I heard three rapid bangs,” said neighbor William McNeely.  “Someone ran down the steps, slammed the door and was gone.” Prince Georges County police so far haven’t released any possible suspects and will continue handling the investigation.

Trump calls comparisons to Hitler “terrible”

Donald Trump told ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Tuesday that he didn’t know about the Hitler comparisons, he also says, “I’m not happy about that certainly.” The Hitler comparisons continued when Trump asked voters to raise their right hand and pledge to support him creating an image similar to Adolf Hitler’s. Trump said when asked about the context of the image that rally attendees were just “having fun.”

Co-founder of “Eagles” wife dies in accidental shooting

Randy Meisner’s (the co-founder of the legendary rock band the Eagles) wife Lana Meisner died on Sunday when a rifle was accidentally fired while being moved. “As she lifted the rifle in the case, another item within the case shifted and hit the trigger of the rifle causing it to fire and fatally injure Mrs. Meisner,” the statement said. According to reports, Randy Meisner was cooperative throughout the investigation.

U.S. missionary gets 40 years for sexually assaulting children in Kenya

Matthew Lane Durham, 21, a missionary who volunteered at a children’s home in Kenya was sentenced to 40 years in prison. Durham will be imprisoned for sexually assaulting three girls and one boy. The girls that Durham raped are the ages of 5, 9, and 15.  It is believed that he raped them multiple times.
