Arrest warrant for attempted abduction at National Air and Space Museum
An arrest warrant has been issued for the capture of Bernard Drai, 60. He is wanted for his connection in the March 3 incident that took place at the National Air and Space Museum. Park Police Sgt. Anna Rose says Drai was seen approaching a group of kids, grabbing a child’s hand and walking away before a chaperon. When the chaperon yelled at Drai, he ran off. Rose said Drai, who is known to travel from Israel to the United States and Canada, has left the country. Authorities are still looking for leads on another person seen with him at the museum.

Maryland Terps advance to the Sweet 16
The Maryland Terrapins (27-8) face off against Kansas on Thursday night. Kansas is the overall top seed in the tournament. Mark Turgeon’s team will be playing a different role: Underdogs. Maryland has been ranked in the top 10 for a better part of the season, last week the team defeated a pair of lower seeds to advance in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament. “There are only 16 of us left,” Turgeon said. “We’ll be on the national stage playing the No. 1 team in the country. So I want them to enjoy the moment and make the most of it.” Turgeon added, “It was really important to me that we beat Hawaii. I wanted our guys to experience this,” Turgeon said. “The first and second rounds, it’s fun, it’s nice, it’s great. But the Sweet 16 takes it to another level.”

Brussels airport and subway attacked by suicide bombers
On Tuesday in Brussels, Belgium 31 people were killed and 270 others were injured in a terrorist attack that targeted the Brussels airport and the city’s Maelbeek metro station. The attacks are connected to terrorist group ISIS. On Wednesday, it was confirmed by Belgian Federal Prosecutor Frederic Van Leeuw that two of the three suicide bombers were brothers Ibrahim El Bakraoui, the suicide bomber at the airport, and Khalid El Bakraoui, who targeted the subway. There is one more suspect that is still on the loose; he is described as wearing a hat and light colored clothing. Paul Van Tigchelt said on Wednesday, “There are still a number of people possibly involved in the attacks still in our country … who still pose a threat.”

Rapper Phife Dawg dies at 45
Malik Taylor, a rapper known as Phife Dawg of the group A Tribe Called Quest, died on Tuesday. According to his family and manager, Taylor died due to complications from diabetes. In 2008, Taylor underwent a kidney transplant to treat Type 1 diabetes. His family published a statement regarding his death: “Taylor was our loving husband, father, brother and friend. We love him dearly. How he impacted all our lives will never be forgotten. His love for music and sports was only surpassed by his love of God and family.”

Obama pledges to destroy ISIS, criticizes Cruz “carpet bomb” plan
President Barack Obama pledged Wednesday to “defeat” those who threaten the world with terrorism. The world has to be united against terrorism,” Obama said. He added, “That’s a top priority of ours…We can and we will” defeat terrorism. In a news conference in Argentina, on the day after terrorist attacked in Brussels, Obama heavily criticized Ted Cruz’s plan to carpet bomb ISIS.
