Person struck by Metro train at Friendship Heights

METRO ALERT:  Officials at Metro report that a person was struck and then lodged under a train at the Friendship Heights station on the red line during the evening rush hours.  The red line then began single tracking until the person was rescued and taken to the hospital.  Metro says they are supplying shuttle service at the Friendship Heights, Bethesda and Tenleytown stations.  The incident is being investigated.
