Tuesday night, a male suspect, James Dirk Crudup, 41, identified as a homeless person, scaled the fence on the north side of the White House and was quickly apprehended by the Secret Service after he reached the lawn. According to video obtained of the incident, after broaching the grounds of White House, the man was placed on the ground and then taken into custody.
The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m., long after the president had signed the controversial and much-debated debt ceiling bill, which was passed by the Senate earlier that day.
