Wind and rain from Tropical Storm Emily has reportedly damaged several hundred homes in Haiti, a country still recovering from an earthquake that ravaged the nation in 2010. According to Marie Alta Jean-Baptiste, the director of Haiti’s civil protection agency, the storm damaged a cholera treatment center in the Central Plateau region but so far no death or major destruction has been reported.

The National Hurricane Center warns that the storm is headed toward Cuba and could potentially reach Florida. It has maximum winds of 50 mph.
