6.4 magnitude earthquake strikes off the coast of Japan

A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Japan Sunday morning roughly 114 miles from the capital city of Tokyo. According to nuclear officials in the country, the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, which was crippled by a much larger earthquake on March 11, was not damaged by Sunday’s quake. No one was reported hurt and nothing was reported damaged as a result of the earthquake. Hundreds of aftershocks have been reported in the wake of the 6.4 magnitude earthquake.
