Virginia – Va. teacher accused of molesting girl arrested

Leslie E. Deane, a Hanover County teacher, was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties with a child by a custodian. Chesterfield police Sgt. Brad Conner says a girl reported that she had been inappropriately touched at least once by the 64-year-old at the daycare facility his wife operates. Deane has taught science at Chickahominy Middle School since 1991, says Hanover schools spokesman Chris Whitley. So far, he says, the school has taken no action on Deane’s employment.
