Virginia – Mechanicsville death ruled ‘suspicious’

The death of a woman who died in a single-vehicle wreck in Mechanicsville has been labeled suspicious by authorities. Sergeant James Cooper with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Department said deputies were notified of a car crash near Lee-Davis High School on Thursday afternoon. A Chevrolet Cavalier ran off the road, hit a curb and then rolled over, says Cooper. Deputies found three people in the car. Cooper says a female passenger in the front seat was found with “obvious signs of trauma” to her had. Authorities have ruled her death as suspicious. None of the other passengers were injured and the male driver was arrested.
