Washington Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman made his first start since 2007, completing 21 of 24 passes for 305 yards in Sunday’s game. His efforts helped the Redskins secure victory in the second half of the game against the New York Giants, with a score of 28-14. The triumph was their first since 2005, ending a six-game losing streak for the Redskins against the Giants.

The game occurred on the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Prior to the game, players from both teams stretched an enormous American Flag across the field.
