Maryland – 26-year-old man charged in killing during 2009 robbery

According to authorities, a Pikesville man has been charged with the fatal shooting of a man during a 2009 robbery. On Tuesday, a federal grand jury charged Stanislav “Steven” Yelizarov with carrying and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence, resulting in death, said the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland. Twenty-six-year-old Yelizarov could face up to life in prison or the death penalty. Yelizarov was sentenced in April for leading an effort to steal guns from someone’s home and using those guns to rob a jewelry store. He is already serving a 30-year prison sentence for those charges.
