In Case You Missed It
Following President Obama’s statement late Sunday night announcing thedeath of Osama bin Laden, metro area residents and visitors alike gathered in the streets and outside the White House to celebrate the news. The impromptu gathering continued into the early hours of Monday morning, with cars honking and boisterous cheering. The announcement of bin Laden’s death is a significant feat in the United States’ war on terror as bin Laden claimed to have orchestrated the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
