CHANTILLY, VA — Eddie Royal of the NFL Denver Broncos team held a freecamp on Saturday, July 16th to give back to the kids in his home state of Virginia.  The camp involved two sessions:  Session 1 for children ages 7-14 and Session 2 for high school students.  With the help of CYA (Chantilly Youth Association) and Westfield High School, Royal’s camp was a huge success according to organizers.  Dana Vinci, Vice President of Public Relations ESBL Sports Management, states that the “camp was very successful for its first year with more than 200 children showing upfor the camp. Everyone involved had a great time, and Eddie could not have been happier with the results!”  Vinci also notes that Royal “wanted to have a camp for the youth in the area, because as a child, he wished that there was always more things like this to do.”

Royal is a native Virginian and was born in Alexandria.
