On Saturday, boxer Prichard Colon, 23, suffered a critical head injury in a match at Fairfax’s EagleBank Areana after being knocked out twice in the ninth round. As a result of the injury, Colon reportedly suffered a brain bleed. Virginia’s Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation says that it will review the fight to determine if any laws or regulations were violated. Despite being in a coma, family members of Colon say that he is showing reflexes in his hands and feet.
