President Barack Obama has announced that he plans to nominate Julian Castro to be the next secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Castro, 39, is currently the Mayor of San Antonio and is serving his third consecutive term—he was elected in 2009, 2011 and 2013. The current secretary of HUD, Shaun Donovan, will be nominated as director of the Office Management and Budget. Castro is currently the youngest Mayor of any major city; he was first elected as a San Antonio councilman at age 26.
