A New Jersey native, Alex relocated to Washington, DC in 2006, after earning a BA in English from Kenyon College and an MAT in English Education from Brown University. He currently teaches high school English in Montgomery County, Maryland.
During the summers, he is working towards an MA in English from Bread Loaf College, connected to Middlebury College in Vermont. In addition to reading and writing, Alex enjoys sports – particularly high
school wrestling, which he 
coaches, and Major League Baseball, which he follows enthusiastically.
His other hobbies include music (he plays guitar and cello), movies and traveling. Most of all, Alex enjoys exploring the DC area in search of new restaurants, obscure museums and other hidden gems.
